Best reel ever

I own both the 5000 and 10000. After years of trying the so called "best" I came back to Shimano. Went with the Stella SW line and could not be happier.
The reels are velvety smooth, exceptionally powerful and well worth every penny they cost.

Top of the line !

Thanks for spending your time reading this review, I will try to make it short and true. I currently own two Stella 5000, match them up with custom rods and 20lb. test braided line...you know what happens when you do it right? I get absolute distance...casting miles....and I never had the feeling that I was one of the people who could throw that far on the pier. Shimano done it right.....BIG THUMP UP....will wait for more products from Shimano.
Again, I am not trying to help out either Shimano. I am just sharing with you all about my own facts... You have to try it to believe it! It is pricey but worth every dollar of your hard earn money. I will stick with Shimano products guys......still can not accept Daiwa due to fact ....they use too much of cheap plastic for pricey products? Daiwa still does not make any sense to me...but Shimano does :-)

Great reel

smooth, easy wind, never lumpy, and will land those big fish. You get what you pay for, and Shimano will give you the quality for the buck. Two bad things or can be improved upon. Bail adjuster does not have a large extention to handle. Its hard to remove the spool. More important is the spool does not have any engraved lines so the fishing line will hold with a tight knot. They say use tape, but that sometimes eggs the line in the spool. All they needed to do was put two indented lines around the tie on section of the spool.
All else seems great.
