great baitcaster

I bought the 150 model while searching for replacements for my Curados. This reel performs flawlessly. Casts great and has one of the smoothest drags I have seen on a baitcaster (very important with fast hard running snook on light line). The only complaint I had is this reel seemed to require a 2-3 day heavy use break in period. After that it felt as though it was an extension of your hand. Light but solid(didn't feel like a toy).

I've got a smoke 150 7.3:1 and yes it casts very well with the heavy stuff. I got one for my trap rod and decided to try it out on my worm rod and was very disappointed. It simply will not handle light stuff. it also feels like it sits a little higher on the reel seat than my curados.

I have the Smoke 100 and the 150, they have been fished hard for over a year and I have no trouble, in fact I think the Smoke is the best reel Quantum has ever made.

Great reel, my furthest casting that I own. Took awhile to get used to and backlashed a lot at first for some reason, never had that problem with any other reel but once I got a feel for it it will absolutely bomb lures.

I bought this real one year ago. I have never really used a bait caster before but this real made it easy to learn. I have it on a 6'6" duckett rod. It is smooth smooth smooth caught every thing from 6 pound large mouth to large norther pike. I plan on buying one of the spinning reals for my new spinning rod as well as another bait caster.
All are going to paired with the Duckett rods.

I love my smoke 150. I got the 5.3:1 ratio and it's great.

SMOKIN REEL

Finally purchased this reel after wanting it for a year or so. At first I thought it was the best reel that I owned then it started getting loud and making noises. I took it apart cleaned it and relubed it, problem fixed for the most part. It casts well and handles well too. I use it for topwater with a 7ft St. Croix mojo bass rod. Can't ask for a better looking and feeling combo. The reel is light but durable and fits well in my hand. I'm still a big fan of the reel but not as pleased as I thought I'd be.
Overall though I think its a good reel and I enjoy using it.

I own two smoke reels and they are my favorite.
They cast a mile and are very light i would recommend them to anyone.
